No matter how thirsty you are, do not drink water during this time.

Our health depends on water, and health is drinking enough water. There are situations in which drinking water is not recommended, even if you are truly thirsty.

Not drinking enough water can lead to health problems, including abdominal pain, dehydration, and kidney damage. In this article, we will learn about when you should not drink water.

 1. Before or after a meal: Water weakens the stomach and the digestive enzymes that digest food immediately before or after a meal. This can lead to poor digestion and absorption of food, which can lead to gas, bloating, and constipation. Experts say you should not drink water for at least 30 minutes before and after a meal. This makes it easier for the body to eat and absorb nutrients.

 2. During vigorous activity: Drinking water during vigorous activity may cause abdominal pain, nausea, and fatigue. This is because during intense exercise, your body pumps more blood to your muscles, and drinking too much water can cause electrolyte loss. It's a good idea to drink a small amount of water before and after exercise and wait for your body to cool down before drinking more water.

3. When thirst is severe: When thirst is severe and thirsty, the body absorbs too much water in a short period of time, which can lead to epilepsy and mental illness due to electrolyte imbalance. If you are severely dehydrated, it is better to drink water slowly rather than all at once.

Night 4: Drinking too much at night can disturb your sleep and keep you from getting enough sleep as you have to go to the bathroom again. It is recommended to reduce the amount of water you drink two hours before going to bed.

In summary, water is essential to our health and should be consumed regularly. But as mentioned earlier, drinking water at the wrong time can cause many health problems. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to when and how much water you drink. Staying hydrated is important, but it's also important to consider the risks of not drinking enough water.
